NATURE Ek TEACHER

THIS film was conceived and directed by me in the year 2005 when my daughter  Malu was in Sr. KG.  She has  played a lead role in this film Nature ek Teacher.  It was fun for us to teach her narration and acting.  

 Modern life is too regimented and deprives children of the opportunity of exploring and learning by themselves. Nature Ek Teacher is a story of  young children who have learned some good lessons from the Nature.

We need to value Nature for itself and for what we can learn through observing and adapting its methods. Birds and Animals know more about how life is to be experienced and how to relate to each other and their environment and protection much better than humans do. We the humans are the superior species on earth because of the ability to think and speak.

Nature ek Teacher is a story of young children who have learned some good lessons from the Nature. A little girl gathers information about the various  artificial nests and when she visits her Native place in Kerala; she inquires about artificial nests to her Grandama. An artificial nest is then made by using a Coconut Shell and the grandma gives it to her grandchild to keep at her home in the City.

The little girl happily fixes the artificial nest under the plant where some birds used to live. Though some birds visited and inspected the artificial nest, they

neglected to use it. On a rainy day in the monsoon, a bulbul family comes in

search of a good place to build its nest and inspected the artificial nest too.

But instead of using the artificial nest, the bulbuls made its nest just near to
the artificial nest. The film beautifully portrays panoramic moments of nest
making, hatching and flying away the chicks from the nest .

The film also portrays the learning experiences from the nature and the film
ends with pledge of the children :“we will watch the nature and learn lessons from the nature”.

 The screenplay and dialogues are written by  Sajan and Suja Sajan.  Blessmon Samuel assisted me in direction and camera.  The Background score is played by M.V.Prabhath, an upcoming Music Director.
